The Australian property market is attracting younger property investors in search of fresh opportunities, according to a new report.
Research from Bank of Scotland International found Australia to be the most popular overseas country in which to live among the under 25s, 25 to 34s and 35 to 44s.
The over 45s highlighted New Zealand as their most popular option, evidence that Australasia is generally popular among all age ranges when considering countries to relocate to.
In Europe, Spain was the most popular destination, in keeping with historic trends. Tony Wilcox, managing director at Bank of Scotland International explained how younger investors are as likely to consider emigrating as their older counterparts.
"Many people are of the opinion that it is only the older generation that consider moving abroad or buying property abroad," he stated.
"However, younger people are also interested in opportunities overseas, especially within Australia."
National Savings and Investments reports that a quarter of Brits would be prepared to move overseas in order to save money for a home in Britain.
