More and more Britons are likely to move to places such as Australia in the next few years, according to an expert.
Paul Arthur of The Emigration Group said the antipodean country was proving to be highly popular as it has lower living costs than the UK.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, he added that it also has "huge shortfalls" of skilled labour, which means it also has numerous job opportunities.
This was cited as one of the main considerations for leaving the UK by Jenny Hilary, who told the newspaper that she plans to move to a property in Australia next month.
She commented: "There is a demand for the skills I have over there."
Ms Hilary added that would also be able to benefit from more affordable house prices, "fantastic" weather and a better lifestyle.
This comes after Paul Arthur of The Emigration Group told the Southport Visiter that the number of Britons moving to Australia has trebled in the last five years.
