Brazil's all-year-round tropical climate is attractive to tourists and investors alike, a property investment adviser has said.
Property in the country has experienced a 20 per cent rise in some areas, although it is still affordable to investors, the Property Frontiers spokesperson said.
In addition, a stable economy and exchange rate coupled with low risk of war, terrorism and natural disasters made the country ripe for investment, she suggested.
Brazil has been ranked by investment bank Goldman Sachs as one of the four fastest growing economies, along with Russia, India and China.
The combined wealth of these emerging nations is expected to outstrip the wealth owned by the current major economic superpowers by 2050.
"Investors in rental properties can expect returns of approximately six to seven per cent per annum, based on an average of 60 per cent occupancy," the spokesperson said.
She added that property prices are increasing by more than 15 per cent a year and said that the selling process is "easy, with transfer of title a simple process".
