The appeal of a popular Brazilian city could be broadened as soon as a new airport is opened, a report has said.
According to UK newspaper the Telegraph, the world's fourth-largest international airport is to be built in the Natal area, complementing the existing portal nearby.
The region, which is already popular with overseas property investors, could see a surge of interest as a result of the new facility, which is expected to be open for business in three years.
"With flights come second home buyers," the newspaper commented.
"Natal certainly has a lot to offer, with white sand beaches and an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius," it added.
The publication also highlighted the impact of increased tourism on the region, quoting property investor Louise Brown as saying that the holiday sector would be the area's "linchpin".
Recently, independent analysts Amberlamb attributed much of the interest in the Brazilian market to positive media coverage.
