An increasing amount of individuals are turning to central and South American destinations for their holidays, it has been announced.
Research conducted by STR Global has found that countries like Brazil are experiencing a resurgence in interest from British travellers, compared to last year.
In addition, Laura Rendell-Dunn, marketing manager at Journey Latin America, claimed that the low cost of making the trip is proving to be a draw for many.
"There are so many airlines flying to Brazil it's so easily accessible now and, because so many airlines are flying there, that brings down the cost of the ticket," she explained.
Furthermore, Ms Rendell-Dunn highlighted the fact that the forthcoming World Cup and Olympic Games were likely to lead to an improvement in tourism infrastructure in Brazil.
According to the Post Office's Travel Money Monitor, a year-on-year increase of 350 per cent in sales of the Brazilian real took place over the Easter holidays.
