Brazil is 'ideal for investment'

The current global economic crisis has resulted in Brazil's property market becoming ideal for investment, it has been suggested.

According to BuyAssociation, the country is more likely to survive the current financial uncertainty due to the "healthy cash reserves" held by the country's banks and the lower rate of borrowing taking place in the country.

These factors may mean Brazil is likely to attract interest from investors considering overseas purchases.

And BuyAsociation notes that Olympic cyclist Chris Hoy has recently purchased a new off-plan property at the Laguna Beach development in Tabatinga, which he as described as "somewhere special to go and relax" when he is not training.

The comments follow a recently suggestion from Samantha Gore of property website uv10.com that the country's property market will continue to improve, especially in the north-east.

Ms Gore noted that the region is expected to need an estimated 80,000 new homes to cope with increasing demand from tourists.
