An analyst at one property firm has backed claims by US billionaire Sam Zell that the Brazil property market currently offers one of the best opportunities for investors.
Liam Bailey of Property Abroad announced his of support Mr Zell's recent comments - which saw him describe the South American country as "the best" for overseas investors - by stating that the market in Brazil has remained "strong" in spite of the credit crunch.
"Brazil is currently one of the most popular countries to make an overseas property investment," he remarked, adding that the Property Abroad website has seen a number of enquiries from those wishing to buy property in the country.
And he added that the country has received a large amount of overseas funding in recent months and that - coupled with the ongoing positive media exposure - will ensure resale values of property in the country will remain strong.
He comments support those recently made by Clive Hawkes of Property Bond International, who stated that the economic downturn has not halted the growth of Brazil's property market.
