Brazilian property investors given advice

Sam Zell's recent comments on Brazil's suitability as an investment destination have been welcomed by property portal Shelter Offshore.

Earlier this week, the American billionaire told a New York business forum that current market conditions in Brazil make it one of the best countries in the world for foreign investors.

Shelter Offshore said that Mr Zell's remarks are ideal for prospective property investors who want "advice and information about the nations that offer long-term potential for growth".

Brazil certainly fits into that category, with the website stating that the South American nation displays an "appetite for growth that exists almost countrywide".

In a further piece of advice to investors, it adds: "Look at where there is governmental support of investment in the form of a commitment to improving local amenities, accessibility and infrastructure."

Brazil was also recently named as a favourable market for investors by F&C Asset Management.
