House prices in Brazil are likely to go up in the wake of forthcoming infrastructure improvements, analysts have stated.
According to A Place in the Sun magazine, there are currently plans to create a high-speed rail link between Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
The publication believes that the new transport connection will lead to extra demand for property in both regions, as they will each be more easily accessible.
Richard Way, editor of A Place in the Sun, added that infrastructure upgrades are also being put in place ahead of the 2014 Fifa World Cup.
This, he said, is also likely to boost the housing market in Brazil.
Mr Way commented: "Any infrastructure changes like that will have a big impact.
"There is this huge demand growing for basic accommodation and residential property," he added.
This comes after the BuyAssociation website revealed that the country is attracting a growing number of lifestyle buyers who want a permanent base overseas.
Brazil was highlighted as an ideal destination for those who want to snap up a bargain property abroad.
