Investor's tastes 'are diverse'

Overseas property buyers from the UK are becoming increasingly diverse in choosing their ideal markets, according to experts.

The National Association of Estate Agents stated that Britons were opting to purchase property in both emerging and traditional locations.

This was cited as one of the reasons for the continuing high level of interest in foreign property investment among people from the UK.

According to Vanessa Bird of financial services company Baydonhill, exotic locations outside of Europe are proving to be increasingly popular.

She cited Brazil as an example of a country was that was attracting more adventurous property buyers, commenting.

However, Ms Bird added: "The challenge for these markets is to go beyond the two to three-year popularity span which so many are experiencing."

Brazil has also been tipped as a potentially good location for investors by the BuyAssociation website.

The portal stated that property in the country was becoming more popular in the UK and was now seen as a "real investment opportunity".
