Bisected by the Bansko River, the town of Kyustendil, with its fertile plain and thermal springs, has attracted conquerors since Thracian times. The Romans developed this into the “town of baths”, and the Turks who settled here in large numbers after the C14 constructed the hamams (baths) and mosques that gave Kyustendil the oriental character remarked upon by C19 visitors. Kyustendil has been considerably modernized since then, but it remains a spa-town, with some of its former atmosphere lingering in the old backstreets around the centre and to the south of the Main Street.
From the centre of the town visitors can follow the asphalted panoramic road going through the famous pine natural park “Hissarlaka” before they reach the beautiful mountain resort Osogovo at an altitude of 1400m, and here is where this excellent agricultural-land plot is located next to the ski slopes and the road. With a very good size of 18131sq.m, this land plot is ideal for a holiday development located in a place with the highest purity of oxygen (94%) in the Balkans.
