New research carried out by the consultancy Assetz suggests that Bulgaria is second in a table of return rates on property investment, news that may be welcomed by potential property investors.
The index that is released each quarter by the firm shows that property returns in the country reached 71 per cent over the last year.
Moreover, the best country in Europe in terms of rate returns on investments was Poland, with 100 per cent returns, reports the paper.
Managing director at Assetz Stuart Law said that potential investors should weigh up the option before making purchases
"Due diligence will become even more important during this next phase of the global property market's cycle, and investors must be more selective to ensure they are not only buying in the right country, but in the right town or city, in order to benefit from the highest returns," he said.
The news follows reports by ERA Bulgaria that suggest residential property prices in the country are expected to rise by ten per cent by the end of the year.
