The mountain resort of Pamporovo is a good place to invest in property, it has been claimed.
As one of Bulgaria's most famous ski resorts, the area boasts scenic views, sizeable properties and "excellent value for money", according to international property publication Quest Bulgaria, reports Homesgofast.com.
And the region's prospects are further boosted by the fact that it will be 90 minutes away from the Mediterranean sea once a new road is completed.
The magazine also analyses the pros and cons of a host of other Bulgarian property hotspots, such as Bansko, Varna, Lovech and Veliko Turnovo.
"This is an emerging country and there are still unusual and interesting areas that have not seen the mad rush and inflated prices experienced in the most popular regions," remarked Chris Goodall, managing director of Quest Bulgaria.
Bulgaria's property market has been boosted in recent months thanks to its accession to the EU.
It joined at the same time as Romania on January 1st 2007.
