This year will be crunch time for the property market in Bulgaria, one expert has said.
Paul Collins, the overseas property editor of BuyAssociation, said it will soon become clear whether those who have invested in Bulgaria will be able to make money from rental returns.
He said there is some evidence to show that activity in Bulgaria will outperform many other European nations, especially since it joined the EU in January.
"Bulgaria has had a huge amount of press and public interest in overseas property," he remarked.
"2007 will be a key time to see whether those who have invested will make money from the rental side of things."
He was speaking after a survey by website Self Catering Breaks suggested that a growing number of British investors have confidence in the overseas property markets.
