This impeccable villa is situated in the South Rodopi mountains only 5 miles from the Greek border and 50 miles from the North-East Mediterranean coast. It is only 20 miles from the famous ski resort of Pamporovo and 12 miles from the biggest city in the area - Smolian. The river Arda, which supplies drinking water for the whole area and to two of the countrys largest dams and hydroelectric power stations, flows only 5 min walk from the house and abundance in trout. The villa is located in one of the biggest villages in the area with more than 2000 permanent inhabitants accommodating numerous visitors in its several small hotels, BB and private homes. The local dairy established with the support of the Swiss government is the only one in the country producing wide variety of cheese not only from Bulgarian but also from Swiss and French recipes and its products are exported in the EU countries. The area is visited mainly by nature lovers because of its beauty and rich flora and fauna. No industry is polluting this tourist paradise. The climate is mild all the year round, never too cold in winter or too hot in summer, still real four seasons. You can enjoy walks in the exuberant forests along many small rivers with spectacular waterfalls and lakes, practice rafting on the Arda river and visit its springs only 10 miles from the house. Beautiful cave long 2 miles will trill you only 5 min drive from the house and you can also enjoy mountain biking or paragliding in this fantastic area. Winter sports lovers need 20 to 30 min drive to reach the main ski lifts in Pamporovo and roads are clean to drive all the year round with very low traffic and no traffic jams. Nearest International Airport is 65 miles hour and a half drive. Local cuisine bristles with healthy naturally grown vegetables and fruits and plenty of meat and Bulgarian wines and beer meeting highest International standards and taste. To dine in a restaurant will cost you less than 5 GBP including drinks and a pint of beer in local pub is usually less than 50 P.
The villa itself was solid built out of stone in the 50-ties and last year was totally reconstructed including new roof, floors, doors, windows, all electrical wires and all water and drainage pipes. It is connected to mains water, electricity and sewerage. The total living area on the two floors is about 200 sq.m and the garden is 1300 sq.m. On the ground floor it has huge entrance hall, living room, lounge, kitchen and diner. On the first floor it has three bedrooms, one en-suite bathroom with bath and a separate WCshower, large corridor and a balcony, Wood burning open fireplace in the lounge and all furniture, doors and windows are made of solid wood.
