In addition, it is abundant in unique examples of the achievements of the Bulgarian handicrafts and art from that time, very well preserved in the numerous houses – museums, built in the traditional Bulgarian style, where those important personalities from the Bulgarian history used to live. These houses and monuments, built in traditional style, will undoubtedly attract the attention of the lovers of exquisite Bulgarian properties. Some examples of fine architecture are the native house of Ilarion Makariopoloski, the Kamburov’s Inn, and the Clock Tower. Other monuments are the Raszukanovi Houses complex, which consists of five houses under one roof, and the St. Nicolas Church. Not far from the town are located the St. Nicolas and Plakovski monasteries. The surrounding mountainous area is full of broad-leaved centuries-old trees, and the small rivers are abundant in mountain barbells, chubs, etc.
Just some 16 away from the village, the Yovkovtsi dam lake sprawls and is an excellent invitation for the fans of fishing.
