Considering its size and economic importance, stock-breeding is rated second in the Municipalitys agriculture. 347 private companies and co-operatives use the agricultural output to produce bread, confectionary, flour and fodder, feta and yellow cheese, meat and meat products, wine, liquor and soft drinks.
