The availability of direct flights to the Cape Verde islands is expected to see an increase in the number of investors looking to buy property there, according to one expert.
Paul Collins, overseas editor of BuyAssociation, said that people purchasing property in the region are likely to benefit from a greater number of tourists visiting the islands over the next few years.
"With holidays and property investment, low-cost flights and where flights go has really fundamentally changed the way that we travel," Mr Collins stated.
People are increasingly looking to where they can get inexpensive flights before deciding where to go on holiday, he added.
Stuart Law, managing director of Assetz, recently said that Cape Verde was an "interesting prospect", with mortgages becoming more competitive and companies now requiring smaller deposits for properties.
As a result, investors are likely to benefit from greater overall returns, he remarked.
