Overseas property investors in Cape Verde are to benefit from infrastructure improvements across the country.

According to MacauHub, millions of pounds will be put towards upgrading the country's air hubs and creating new ports and roads in locations such as Santiago Island.

The work is being partly funded by the Portuguese government, which has allowed Cape Verde to repay the loan at what it described as a "favourable" rate of interest.

Many people will be likely to benefit from this investment, including locals and visitors from other countries.

In particular, the modern infrastructure will be likely to enhance Cape Verde's growing standing among overseas property buyers from countries such as the UK.

According the Observer, attractions such as its good climate have made the country an "irresistible" option for many British investors.

The newspaper added that the archipelago had also become popular in recent years due to accessibility improvements, such as the introduction of direct flights from Europe.
