A popular newspaper has highlighted a number of countries where Brits can buy a property for under £100,000, safe in the knowledge that their investment should rise "dramatically" in value.

According to the Sun, buying a property in Cape Verde, Morocco and Brazil is a sure-fire way of making a profit within the next few years.

In Cape Verde, investors can get a two-bed apartment for about £70,000, while Morocco was described as "one of the hottest emerging property markets in the world".

Also highlighted is Brazil, which is expected to be a particular hotspot for investors, mainly because the government is continuing to invest in the tourism sector and infrastructure facilities.

Commenting on Cape Verde, Paul Akwei, managing director of estate agency Noscasa, said: "Unlike the Canaries, the islands will be protected from overdevelopment. Prices are low for somewhere that's only five hours away from the UK."

According to website Escapes2, the Cape Verde property market has experienced "massive growth over recent times", which has been aided by the introduction of direct flights from the UK.
