Overseas property investors have been urged to consider the potential for earning strong rental income in Cyprus.
Property writer Mark Dale said the Mediterranean island was an ideal location for investors in rental accommodation, as there was continuous demand from tenants.
This was largely attributed to the island's climate, as it offered about 340 days of sunshine and warm temperatures.
Cyprus was said to be highly popular among tourists for 12 months of the year, rather than just for the peak holiday periods.
Mr Dale commented: "An all-year-round rental season is a huge bonus, especially with more and more holidaymakers looking for winter sun."
He added that the region was also a good investment as it was well-serviced by budget airlines, meaning that it was accessible, affordable and highly popular.
Last month, Obelisk International suggested that people plan their investments strategically as new airline routes offered by cheap carriers often indicated the next investment hotspots.
