People living in Cyprus are able to enjoy outdoor activities all year round, according to a foreign property owner.
Charlie Burrell, a Scottish retiree who relocated to the island eight years ago, stated that he was often able to engage in outdoor pursuits as a result of the good climate.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail, he said that the warm and sunny weather allowed him to regularly have barbecues with friends.
In addition, he stated that the climate gave him the option of either spending the day relaxing on the beach or pottering about in his garden.
Mr Burrell commented: "To us, Cyprus had everything we were looking for.
"The most important thing has been the change to our lifestyle."
He added that he had also benefited financially from the move to Cyprus, as the cost of living was much lower than in the UK, while his property had doubled in value during his eight years on the island.
Earlier this week, official figures cited by the Financial Mirror showed that the country was also highly popular among British holidaymakers, potentially opening up new opportunities for rental investors.
