Demand for rental property in Cyprus is still high among tourists, recent comments have suggested.
Thomas Cook said the country was still an attractive option for many British holidaymakers, as it is "as popular as ever".

Furthermore, it is likely that strong demand for tourist accommodation in popular areas could push up the prices of such residences.
As a result, the future sale price of the house could be much higher than the amount it was originally purchased for.
Thomas Cook added that the island offers "guaranteed sunshine", therefore allowing investors to earn money from rent all year round.
This could potentially make it a better investment option that markets with a more seasonal tourist trade.
