The property market in Egypt is expected to grow considerably over the next few years, one expert has said.

According to Jeannette Bradbury, managing director of Egyptian Experience, overseas homes in Egypt are set to be a top property investment for UK investors.

Around 300,000 Brits holiday in Egypt every year and many decide to buy properties in coastal resorts by the Mediterranean and Red Sea.

"We expect the property market in Egypt to grow substantially in the next few years," she commented.

"After many years of economic reform the area is ripe for investment. With record levels of tourism, the property market in Egypt offers excellent investment returns, from both rental yields and property price rises."

According to the recent Homebuyer Show, house prices in Egypt grew 50 per cent over the last two years, with 20 per cent growth forecast for 2007.
