Low-cost airline Jet2 has announced that it is to offer a new series of direct flights to Egypt from Leeds Bradford International Airport to the sunny resort of Sharm el Sheikh next year.
In what could be good news for those who own investment property in Egypt, the resort, with its warm climate, ample history and beautiful coral reefs, will now be even more accessible for British tourists.
The area will be of particular interest to sun-seekers as it maintains its hot weather throughout the year, meaning people buying holiday property in Sharm el Shiekh have the potential to rent it out for all 12 months of the year.
Mandy Round, general manager of Jet2holidays, said: "Sharm el Sheikh is proving to be an increasingly popular destination for UK holidaymakers who flock there for guaranteed year-round sunshine and the spectacular sites and scenery of Egypt."
Egypt's government has been working hard to attract more investors and was recently recognised by the World Bank for its efforts in reforming trade and financial regulations.
