5 - Location
The resort is located just minutes from the seaside town of La Cala de Mijas. This is a very popular seaside resort which has undergone a huge transformation over the years. Plans are also in place to extend the coasts main railway link from Malaga City and this is to include a new station at La Cala itself. There are also future plans to develop a new marina in this area to help cater for the current shortfall of berths in the region.
La Cala has always been a popular resort on the Mijas Coast, with a well established infrastructure in place to cater for most needs. It is also within easy access of Malaga City and the popular resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus.

6 - Free Golf

All fractional golf rights are allocated to the units and not individuals. Third party guests can therefore enjoy the same membership status as owners. These include:
- One member plays for free
- Up to three invited guests paying only €15.00 per green fee
- 50 % discount on Calanova buggy rates
- A fractional golf right of use allows a maximum of three months of free golf per annum
The Golf Courses
Calanova Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72 and 5.866 metres long.It is built to USA Golf Association regulations and was designed by Aymerich Golf Management.
There are excellent tee view points which reveal all obstacles. The modern design of the course appeals to both experienced and average golfers with a variety of distances, a number of possible pin positions and excellent shot visualisation.
Spectacular scenic beauty of sea and La Cala de Mijas mountains at nearly every hole greet you as you relax and play in this tranquil Costa Del Sol location.
Cabopino Golf Marbella is another 18-hole, par 71 course and was designed by Juan Ligues Creus and opened in 2001. The course is located just minutes from the popular port of Cabopino.
Amongst the many spectacular holes the par 4, 3rd must be mentioned. Your tee perched on the side of the cliff presents you with a tee shot that has a drop of almost 200 metres to the fairway, you are then faced with an elevated green protected by a large bunker.
It boasts a well established club house with bar and restaurant facilities and members have access to a separate driving range.
