Brits looking to play it safe should look to France as a destination for a solid property investment, according to a leading overseas property company.

Research from Invest in Property reveals that France is the ideal location for older or more risk adverse investors with limited investment capital as well as those with little or no risk capital at all.

The company claims that investors should look across the channel for a guaranteed regular and secure return on their investment.

According to its survey, countries such as France or Spain are more likely to offer completed or newly built properties from reputable builders, in a well established market.

It suggests people looking to take a few more risks should head to countries further afield and currently undergoing redevelopment, such as Bulgaria or Dubai.

Bulgaria consists of three regions, with the climate described as temperate.
