Property investors who are targeting ski resorts are seeking property that can provide returns for the entire year, rather than just during winter peaks, according to one expert.
Terry Brine, director of Ski-Invest, said that "top resorts" now provide an "all season experience" and properties located in these areas "should show a good return".
Mr Brine argues that holiday makers who visit locations that have been traditionally associated with skiing are now looking for a more varied holiday experience.
"They are looking for a variety of family activities. They want to go cycling, walking, climbing, horse riding, ballooning - all manner of activities and pastimes," he argues.
Mr Brine also said these visitors are attracted to scenery that is "beautiful" throughout the year.
The director added that for British investors, the Alps offer a range of advantages. He states that communications to the region "are better … than ever" and the Alps themselves are easily reachable from the UK.
Ski-Invest is based in the UK and offers a range of services to those looking to buy property in the Swiss and French Alps.
