A number of people are beginning to turn away from the Costas in favour of taking holidays in the Alps, it has been claimed.
Simon Malster, managing director of Investors in Property, suggested that hot temperatures recorded in some parts of Europe this year are a factor influencing rising interest in Alpine holidays.
Additionally, a growing number of people are taking to holidays each year, which could help boost the property market in such regions in France, which now offer a range of activities and attractions, Mr Malster said.
"They'll go and have two weeks on the beach and then have a long weekend or a week in the mountains," he remarked.
Paul Collins, overseas property editor at BuyAssociation, recently suggested that properties in the Alps are "great" during the summer months due to the number of golf facilities in the region and the favourable climate.
The French Alps are located in Province-Alpes-Cote-d'Azur and Rhone-Alpes regions, and include Grenoble and Chambery.
