British buyers are making up a significant part of the market for a new off-plan property development in the French Alps.
UK purchasers have accounted for ten of the 39 off-plan properties bought so far at MGM Group's Le Telemark resort at Tignes Le Lac, Easier.com reports.
The firm's London-based sales manager Nathalie Turchet said the development offers UK buyers three very good attributes.
She stated that these are "a high quality second home to enjoy winter sports in one of Europe's top ski resorts, a great base for summer holidays and a guaranteed source of rental income".
The firm is selling the properties from EUR232,000 (GBP196,000).
Many investors in Alpine rental property in recent years will have had problems because mild winters have led to some resorts having insufficient snow for winter sports.
However, Easier Travel reported yesterday that equipment hire firm Ski Republic has seen online hire of some of its packages up by 500 per cent on last year, as the season has begun with plenty of snow falling.
