France buyers 'not put off' by value of the pound

Recent falls in the value of the pound against the euro has not deterred investors from buying property in France, it has been claimed.

According to managing director of VEF Trish Mason, many buyers are determined to purchase property in France as they have a "love affair with the country", meaning they will not be put off by unfavourable markets.

She noted that this has meant many buyers are prepared to adjust their investment plans, meaning they are willing to be flexible in terms of the area in which they invest and the finance plans they use.

Property buyers who are considering investing in France may wish to consider making a purchase in one of the country's winter sports resorts.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, such destinations - which include Meribel and Courchevel - are unlikely to fall out of favour among skiers, despite the recent falls in the pound's value.
