France is the 'perfect destination for families'

Individuals who have decided to search for properties in Languedoc-Roussillon may be interested to hear that France is the ideal destination for a family holiday.

According to a spokesperson for holiday rental service Cottages4you, the country has a wide range of activities and interests to keep visitors entertained.

The comments come after research published by Eurostar revealed that during the volcanic ash-related disruption to flights, the high-speed train service put on an additional 63 trains and carried 500,000 passengers - 100,000 more than were booked to travel.

Among the popular regions in France are Brittany, Dordogne, Normandy and Languedoc-Rousillon, all of which are easily accessible by car, the property portal claims.

"It's proximity to the UK means easy access, no long flights and you can even pack your own car up and head across the channel, with no baggage allowances to worry about," the spokesperson added.

"The range of beaches, countryside and market towns provide the perfect backdrop for a family holiday."
