The resort is also part of the Parc Naturel Regional du Massif des Bauges, with exceptional preserved panoramas. La Feclaz of course offers a plethora of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants for the all important aprs-ski, as well as a twice weekly market for local produce. In winter try alpine skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, snow scooters, dog sledging... in summer enjoy horse riding, hiking, the via ferrata, mountain biking, canyoning, paragliding or potholing.
Local food and specialities
The Savoy region is renowned for its cheeses, including the Beaufort de Chaviere, Chevre, Chat Pendu and Tommes de Savoie. Savoy also has its own sort of pasta known as crozets, made with buckwheat. Dishes include tartiflette (a dish with cream, cheese, potatoes and bacon), raclette (melted cheese with potatoes and charcuterie) and fondue.
