According to town planning documents, the village is located in area deemed at risk of floods.
However, the owners have been living in the house since 1967 and, to their knowledge, the house was flooded only once. It happened during an exceptional flood in 1995 when the entire city of Angers was flooded as a consequence of the rise of the 3 main rivers (the Loir, Mayenne and Sarthe rivers - all three forming the Maine river, a tributary of the Loire river). Before that, as far as memory goes, the house had never been flooded. But at the time the water rose to 70 cm on the ground floor.
The beauty of the area deriving from its many rivers, there is always a risk of flood.
There is a junction to the motorway that goes to Paris, Le Mans, Angers and Nantes only 2 km away.
The international airport of Mazé (direct flights to Southampton) is only 10 km away.
The airport of Nantes (Ryanair) is 90 km away.
