Set in lovely countryside a renovated watermill dating back to circa 1750 and a renovated house from around the 1960’s, both renovated in 2009 set on 3 acres of gardens and woodland with a stream & the original millrace. The Mill house has been converted into a spacious holiday cottage, and since it’s renovation in 2009 has been fully booked throughout the summers.
It offers a main living room in keeping with the character of a mill, with lounge and dining area and wood burning stove, then on a split level you have the fully fitted kitchen. The original mill stones are still in situ on the mechanics, but have been incorporated into the tiled floor to make a feature. The 1960’s house has been completely refitted, and rewired with oil fired central heating and now offers an entrance hall with stairs to the rear, lounge with fireplace and 6m x 4m fully fitted kitchen/diner. Upstairs, the landing opens onto the three decent sized bedrooms; all orientated westerly, as well as a modern bathroom with tub, walk-in shower, sink and toilet. There is equally a full set of cellars, which open onto the courtyard level, thus perfectly useable, and comprises of a first room housing the oil-fired boiler system, a large storage room as well as a small workshop with a fireplace.
The Tax Fonciere is 450 Euros. There are two fosses one which serves the house and the other serves the Mill both are now 4 years old. The properties are set within a valley which contains the Nantes to Brest canal. A soft warm climate, with some long hot days in the summer ideal for walking, cycling, outdoor sports and water activities. The nearest beaches are at Carnac and Quiberon approx 1 hour's drive. There are lots of places of interest with many " Petites Cities de Caractiere" all within driving distance.
