Good transport links to Italy are helping to attract property investors to the country, an expert has stated.

Fund management firm Pirelli RE Agency stated that the Italian market was proving to be a popular choice with British buyers because it was very easy to reach.

Mario Rozza, marketing and communication director at the firm, said low-cost airlines now offered routes to "virtually every" part of the country, which means that most locations are highly accessible and affordable to get to.

This, he stated, would help ensure that the "strong interest" in Italian property ownership continues during the coming year at least.

Mr Rozza added that the range of properties currently on the market "has never been larger".

This comes shortly after the Telegraph reported that the accessibility of a region was one of the main issues considered by property buyers when choosing where to invest.
