The Mayo Advertiser stated that Calabria would be a good purchase because properties by the coast were reasonably priced.
The Irish newspaper added that the region also offered the potential for capital growth, as property values had increased considerably in the last year.
Furthermore, demand was high as it was attracting interest from investors in countries such as the UK and Ireland.
"This current trend shows no sign of slowing down any time in the near future," the newspaper stated.
Meanwhile, investors were told that planning restrictions were being enforced, such as limits on the size of new properties, in order to avoid the "overbuilt sprawl" that had happened in other resorts.
This comes after GEM Estates said that Calabria was a good investment because it was an "up and coming" market that was "relatively unknown".
