Rural Hotel/Retreat Description On a high plain that has been famous since antiquity and overlooks Lake Trasimeno, this noble estate is located on gently rolling hills that are dotted with vineyards, olive groves and woodlands. The nearest village for daily shopping needs, banking and post office services, is six kilometers away, while both Perugia (27 km) and Castiglione del Lago (28 km) can be reached in just 20 minutes by car. Other important Umbrian towns are within a half hour drive from here, and they include: Todi (49 km) , Spello (55 km), Assisi (50 km) and Foligno (60 km). The nearest airport is Perugia’s Sant’Egidio (36 km), while the Florence airport (Peretola) is 150 km away. The international airports of Rome Fiumicino (197 km) and Rome Ciampino (183 km), can be reached in just under two hours. Rome (150 km) and Florence (150 km) can both be easily reached on the A1 autostrada, which is about 30 km away. Description of buildings In the heart of Umbria, halfway between Perugia and Città della Pieve, great noble property with manor’s villa, Italian-style garden and several farmhouses included within 74 hectares of private land with vineyard.
