Morocco offers adventure to visitors

Morocco has been praised for offering visitors the chance to enjoy a number of exciting activities.

Tour operator Journey Beyond Travel said holidaymakers are becoming increasingly keen to engage in more adventurous pursuits to make the most of their time abroad.

The north African country was highlighted as an ideal destination for this group, as it offers attractions such as mountains and deserts where people can go trekking, rafting and cycling.

Commenting on its appeal, spokesperson Thomas Hollowell said: "The adventure is all the fun - you'll have the time of your life in knowing that what you're doing satisfies you."

He added that the number of people booking adventure trips in Morocco has gone up tenfold in the last 12 months.

Morocco attracted a record number of people last year, as about 7.4 million tourists chose to visit places such as Marrakesh and Tangier.
