Morocco to be a popular tourist destination in 2010

Those who have invested in buy-to-let property in Morocco could see a rise in the number of tourists visiting the destination this year, it has been suggested.

According to Travelzest's Best of Morocco, the country is the ideal spot for individuals who are looking to go on a budget break, with Marrakech in particular offering good value for money.

"The cost of living is indeed very affordable in Marrakech," a spokesperson for the company confirmed.

Furthermore, the city is an ideal base for visiting the rest of the country, with good transport links ensuring that it could be the ideal spot for holidaymakers.

"The seaside resort of Essaouira is easily reached by car from Marrakech and there are direct flights to the UK," added the spokesperson.

ABTA - The Travel Association recently predicted that Morocco will be a strong destination for travellers in 2010, as investment in infrastructure and transport will attract holidaymakers looking for high standards at lower costs.
