Millions of pounds are being invested in a new scheme to attract more visitors to Morocco, a media report has revealed.
Approximately £7.3 million is being spent on creating new leisure facilities and tourist accommodation across the south of the country, according to Magharebia.com.
These will form part of three brand new holiday resorts in Errachidia, Ouarzazate and Zagora.
The scheme was announced by Morocco's tourist minister Mohamed Boussaid, who said it was likely to result in the creation of thousands of new jobs.
Furthermore, it may also lead to an increased number of overseas property investors considering Morocco as a good place in which to invest, as a growing tourist trade will lead to greater demand for rental accommodation.
The Foreign Property Buyer website recently said that government plans to increase the number of visitors to Morocco over the next two years "bodes well" for its buy-to-let market.
