Air Arabia has announced that it is to establish a new hub in Morocco next year.
In a move that may interest those thinking of investing in property in the country, the airline has said it will set up its new base in Casablanca.
With some of the flights from the carrier serving European destinations, this may help increase access to the country and encourage more property investment and tourism to the country.
Those keen on investing in Morocco may find that tourism is a major growth factor in the industry, it was reported last month.
In a feature on the country, the Daily Telegraph noted that King Mohammed VI has been leading a major investment programme aimed at building up the tourist infrastructure, with more airports, holiday resorts and possibly an undersea tunnel connecting it to Spain.
The paper said the programme may be already bearing fruit, with an 11 per cent rise in visitor numbers in the first five months of the year.
