Just across from the Straits of Gibraltar, the northern coastline of Morocco contains a 44km stretch of beautiful sandy beaches. The setting of the area is beautiful due to the dramatic mountains in the south and west going right across the valley from which the town rises.

A 20-minute drive from Marina Smir is the historic section of Tetouan. One of the greatest appeals is the old town medina, largely unchanged since being constructed in the 1500's. Here you will find souks and markets selling a variety of Moroccon produce. The King of Morocco's holiday palace is situated on this stretch only about 5km away from Marina Beach. Further inland you will find the Rif Mountains.
The Marina Beach Resort is famous for its beautiful beaches of golden sand and its crystal clear water, and represents a paradise for sun and sea lovers. Developed by Bab Saida, the development has wonderful gardens which frame inviting swimming pools, and the views out to sea are absolutely stunning. The buildings are no higher than four floors, lending a feeling of relaxed calm to the whole environment.
