The Portuguese resort of Olhao has been tipped to emerge as a new hotspot after recent developments in the vicinity.
Located on the Algarve, the Village Marina Olhao is a new project that may help attract investors to the area, homesgofast.com reports.
This involves the creation of residential properties, a five-star hotel with 144 rooms and an extended waterfront with excellent sea views.
The portal states that as well as enjoying a mix of old and new artchitecture and culture plus good beaches, Olhao is close to the Rio Formosa Natural Park and located within range of many golf courses.
It is also just 12 km away from Faro Airport, providing good airline access.
Gulf Weekly recently emphasised the popularity of the country and its climate with Britons, ready2invest has noted.
It revealed that the Bahrain-based paper has recently stated that "large numbers of retired Britons are choosing to make the most of Portugal's excellent climate and strong standard of living by relocating to the country".
