the pretty village of benameji is situated in the northern part of the antequera region and borders with the cordoba region. located 1 hour drive from the international airport of malaga. the town is surrounded by the sierra del camorro mountains. the land around the town is all mainly olive groves. the amenities of the town are good and include, banks, chemists, school, local shops, medical facilities and good selection of bars and restaurants. it is very well situated for the subbetica national park and lake iznajar.
