In a potential new boost for the Spanish property industry, Scottish low-cost airline Flyglobespan has announced it is to launch two new services to the Canary Islands.
From December it will fly from Aberdeen to Gran Canaria and Lanzarote, enabling more holidaymakers to fly out to the islands.
Such news may interest those thinking of investing in these Spanish islands, as might new research into the latest holiday trends in the country.
A research firm based on the Costa Blanca has established that tourist numbers in the Canries are up on last year by 2.34 per cent, with Gran Canaria seeing a 1.07 per cent increase, Round Town News reports.
The Bristol Evening Post has also indicated a growth in travel to the islands, noting that local travel agents have listed the Canaries as one of the popular destinations in a surge of bookings for the half-term holidays.
