Spain is popular not only with British expatriates but also business people who need to relocate, a spokesman for Foxtons International has said.
According to international development manger Matt Glazier, business men and women are choosing to live in Spain "because they can commute quite easily".
By residing in a Spanish property, they can reach the City of London, which is one of the biggest finance capitals in the world, in two hours.
He added: "But if they've got any kind of business in the rest of the world, again they've got really good accessibility to get to South America and places like that."
However, he advised buyers not to "rush in" but take time to make decisions and check out things like the price of property per square metre in nearby developments.
Last week, Buy Abroad said that Spanish regions such as Almeria and Costa Tropical are witnessing "good capital growth" and provide excellent opportunities for buyers looking for long-term investments.
