Current property prices in Spain mean that the country's market remains a "good" area in which to invest, according to one expert.
Speaking to The Daily Record, Isbell Kelly of La Vista Bella said that those considering investing in Spain ought to do their homework first and take a number of factors into consideration.
"First of all, it is important to consider what might be the right location for your own specific requirements with regards to who will be using the property and at what time of the year," Ms Kelly stated.
Investors should also think about whether children or elderly people will be using the property and how to cater to their needs, while the location of a home – such as near a golf course or the beach – can also be important to the success of an investment, she added.
In related news, Banco Halifax Hispania recently reported that younger investors were more likely to look to buy a property in Spain.
The firm's survey found that close to two-thirds of people aged under 55 would consider purchasing a home in Spain, compared with 22 per cent of people over 65.
