Research by the Organisation for Consumers and Users found that 18 per cent of the 10,000 people surveyed said that their security was the most important influence on their quality of life, reports EuroResidentes.
However, 13 per cent of respondents said that housing was the most important factor when it came to quality of life in a town, with a further ten per cent citing transport as a significant consideration.
With these criteria in mind, the organisation found that Pamplona was the best area to live, while Barcelona and Valencia were both included in the list.
