Foreign buyers moving into Valencia market

Valencia is continuing to attract a steady influx of foreign buyers looking to invest in Spanish property, moving away from traditional favourites in the Costas.

Experts highlight the aesthetic and cultural appeal of Valencia as responsible for its popularity, with investors able to expect a healthy level of demand for accommodation among visitors to Spain and holidaymakers.

As such, there are lucrative buy-to-let opportunities to be had, due to be bolstered by the arrival of Formula One next year. It is thought the new circuit could offer similar appeal to Monaco, raising the international profile of the Spanish city.

Craig Holden from Rawlins and Holden estate agents highlights growing interest in Valencia from foreign buyers.

"We are starting to see foreign buyers, mainly professionals, who would have previously looked in Barcelona, finding something similar in Valencia for half the price," he explained to the Telegraph.

Financial services group Blevins Franks reports that many Brits looking to retire abroad are seeking a complete cultural experience as opposed to simply a place in the sun.
